Scholarship Coverage

SNU scholarships in South Korea will cover the following expenses. Students interested to study in Korea can also apply for the GSFS scholarship that is offered by SNU every spring.

The full tuition fee will be covered by SNU.
Monthly stipend for two years 900,000 KRW per month
Scholarship achievers will get free accommodation.
The stipend will cover food and other expenses.
Korean Language Training Fee: For One Year
Medical Insurance, Research Fund, Thesis Printing Fees, Settlement, and Returning Expenses.

Korean Government Scholarship Program 2023(KGSP/GKS):

Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for 4 semesters for a master’s program and 6 semesters for Ph. D program
Monthly stipend for two years 500,000 KRW per month
Airfare: one economy round trip
Korean language training fee: for one year
Others: medical insurance, research fund, thesis printing fees, settlement, and return expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants should not be Korean citizens.
Must have equivalent bachelor’s or master’s degrees.
Must have Language proficiency proof.

Must write an Intent letter and study plan.
Must attach two letters of recommendation with the application.
Official certificates of bachelor’s or master’s.
A copy of the applicant’s passport.
All necessary documents indicating the student’s and parent’s nationality.
Copies of parent’s passports.
