If you are an applicant coming from a country outside the European Union, please note that you will need to apply for a student visa to study in Germany. The German authorities will however not issue a student visa for part-time programs in Germany. Therefore, if you are able to relocate to Germany on a different type of visa other than a student visa, then it should be possible to study.
If you wish to obtain a student visa, you will have to look into fulltime programs in Germany. A good starting point may be the following website of the German Academic Exchange Service: www.daad.de/en.
Students wishing to enroll in the risk management specialization may also apply for a scholarship provided by the Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation (FIRM). FIRM scholarships can amount up to 25% of the program’s tuition fee. FIRM scholars will become members of the FIRM Alumni Network.
Applications are accepted no later than February 1, 2019. For further information please download the FIRM Scholarship Factsheet.

The Office of Admissions will confirm receipt of the application documents to you via email.
Upon submission of your application portfolio, this is carefully assessed by Goethe Business School. If you are eligible for admissions, you will be invited for an admissions interview. The interview will be held in English and will take place at Goethe University’s House of Finance.
Upon confirmation of the date of the admissions interview, you will receive a mathematical test for completion at home. This Mathematics – Test Yourself assignment is to be completed prior to your admissions interview. The aim of this short test, which level is set at the final year of secondary education and covers calculus, algebra and financial mathematics, is to make you confident that you can solve mathematical tasks in preparation of successful program participation.
The Mathematics – Test Yourself assignment is meant as a ‘self-assessment’ exercise only, for and by the applicant. The test results will not be made available to GBS. During the admissions interview, however, the interviewers may discuss your general experiences with the mathematical test.
After evaluation of your admissions documents and the results of the admissions interview, the admissions committee communicates a final decision.
Candidates will be informed of the results of their application within 4 weeks of their admissions interview. If an offer to enroll is made, the applicant will be asked for an admissions decision within 7 working days.
