Introduced by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at Auckland University of Technology. The purpose of the Business, Economics and Law Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is to encourage students with an excellent academic record to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Business and Law.
How do students apply?
Application Requirements:
Applicants for this scholarship must complete an AUT Application for Enrolment (AFE) for the Bachelor of Business (Honours), the Master of Laws, the Master of Business or the Master of Philosophy.
Application for this scholarship is via our AUT online scholarship application portal. A link to the portal is available from the application form link above.
An official academic transcript of the applicant’s prior undergraduate and postgraduate study will need to be loaded into the portal if any study was completed at an institution other than AUT.

Decision makers
Recipients will be selected by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law scholarship selection panel.
How and when do students learn of the decision?
The decision of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law scholarship selection panel is final.
If the panel is of the opinion that there is no applcant of sufficient merit, the scholarship will not be awarded.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The award of this scholarship is conditional on the recipient gaining entry to and enrolling full-time in the Bachelor of Business (Honours), the Master of Laws, the Master of Business, or the Master of Philosophy.
Recipients will be expected to make a commitment to involve themselves in service activities organised by the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law.
This scholarship may not be held in conjunction with any other fees scholarship. The recipient may hold additional non-tuition fee based scholarships with the approval of the Faculty of Business and Law.
The Faculty of Business and Law has the right to terminate the scholarship if a student fails to progress, or is to have breached any of the other conditions of this scholarship.

Amount and Type of Award:
At least one scholarship will be available for applicants of Māori descent
At least one scholarship will be available for applicants of Pasific descent
The Scholarship is available to full-time domestic and international students and consists of the equivalent of full-time domestic tuition fees (up to a maximum of 120 points per year) and compulsory student services fees.
