Founded in 1868 by a Victorian philanthropist, the Clark (Mile-End) Bursary Fund is a charitable endowment. It was established by the name of John Clark who was a thread manufacturer and prominent citizen from Paisley.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: International applicants.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: They can pursue a subsequent degree and postgraduate degree offered by the University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde.

  • The educational awards will only be paid to applicants who at the time of payment are resident in the UK.
  • Non-UK students may apply to the award in advance of their arrival in the UK but will only be eligible for consideration if they are residing in the UK prior to the closing date for applications (15 September).

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Before applying to the award, you need to take admission in a Subsequent degree and postgraduate course either at the University of Glasgow or the University of Strathclyde. After that, you are eligible to complete the online applying form in favor of the funds.
  • You should provide some additional information with your application-
  • The participants are expected to already have obtained an honours degree from the University of Glasgow or Strathclyde or another university in the UK or abroad and are now studying for, or applying to study at the universities.
  • If the applicant’s national language is not English, then they need to demonstrate the English language ability through the IELTS or TOEFL test.

Benefits: The value of the award will be between £500 and £1,500 for each applicant.
