The Hurford Youth Fellowship 2025-2026 is a fully funded fellowship designed to develop the leadership skills of young democracy activists around the world. For three to four months, Fellows work at the World Movement for Democracy Secretariat in Washington, DC, where they expand their international network, share their experiences with other activists, participate in strategic democracy meetings, conduct research, and organize presentations and online discussions on key democracy issues. Upon completion of the program, fellows become regional or national focal points, continuing to be actively involved in the alumni network and leading youth initiatives. The program covers a monthly stipend for living expenses, basic health insurance, round-trip airfare, an equipped office with internet access, and a budget for fellowship-related phone calls. Applicants must be under 30 years old, demonstrate a strong commitment to democracy, and have a good command of English.
