The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Fellowship is a prestigious grant for postdoctoral researchers and senior researchers wishing to conduct an independent research project at a German institution. It allows recipients to freely choose their research topic and academic host in Germany, offering considerable flexibility in planning their stay, which can last from 6 to 24 months for postdocs and 6 to 18 months for more senior researchers, with the option of dividing the period into several stays over three years.
