Panyapiwat institute of management

Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) is Thailand’s first and largest Corporate University. It was established in 2007, under the flagship of CP ALL Public Company Limited, a member of the Charoen Pokphand Group. Established with the objective of transferring the knowledge of the business community to students, PIM aims to fill the divide between conventional education and the demands of corporations. With the Institute’s retail educational and research emphasis and commitment to producing academically skilled and job-ready graduates, the main approach to teaching and learning at PIM is work-based learning.

PIM strategy of integrating classroom and workplace learning is first to map the competency areas of a learning topic in the classroom. It is then followed by listing the tasks relevant to the competency areas. Workplace learning is achieved when the students have completed the task in the checklist and have reflected the experience accordingly. PIM believes that real learning happens in these work environments hence the course work is designed for students to be at real life work environments more often than in a classroom. Graduates who have a substantial amount of hands on experience are coveted in the employment market. “Create Professionals by Professionals”, is the key motto of PIM.

International College of PIM was established in 2013 in response to the need for global education as an international dimension in learning and teaching methods. It promotes and fosters the role of education with an international curriculum but from Asian perspective for creating competent human resources in a dynamic global environment. The International College aims at stimulating and motivating learners and educators to approach global issues through Asian wisdom and philosophies, innovative teaching, and its work based learning pedagogy.
