South China University of Technology (SCUT)

South China University of Technology(SCUT) is one of China’s leading universities.It operates under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education.It is a member of Project 985 and Project 211 which qualifies it as a top institution of teaching and research. Since 2012, SCUT has held a place in the top 500 of QS World University Rankings. In 2013, SCUT was among the first group accredited for the Study in China Model Base by the State Ministry of Education; in 2014, China-ASEAN Joint Engineering Education Center was founded in SCUT by the State Ministry of Foreign Affairs; in 2015, Research Base of Public Diplomacy and Cross-cultural Communication was approved to establish in SCUT by Guangdong Provincial Government; in 2016, SCUT passed the first batch of the University Certification Pilot Program for Quality Certification in China. The international status of SCUT has improved dramatically making it competitive enough to play a role globally.
