Our Objectives

• Promote growth and sustainability of our international student and scholars at UHV
• Center for providing International Student and Scholar Services, conducting special international student orientation, immigration and personal advising that help guide international students and scholars through a smooth transition in their academic, social and cultural adjustment to life at UHV
• Serve as the primary campus liaison to U.S. government agencies (Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Student and Exchange Visitor Program) in issued relevant to F1 and J1 students and scholars to ensure access to updated and accurate immigration to be in compliance with U.S. F1 and J1 immigration regulations
• Intercultural training programs and services to prepare UHV faculty and staff, students, and the greater community to be effective global citizens through a variety of training opportunities
• Providing opportunities for cross-cultural experience through student and community programming to connect Victoria, coastal bend region of Texas with the world, including classroom presentations, cultural programs and cultural events
